This story concludes a three-part arc where Cloak (Tyrone Johnson) and Dagger (Tandy Bowen) reunite. They fight a final battle against the dark sorcerer Mr. Jip and his underlings, Night and Day. This issue also features the first appearance of the character Yip Yap.

The story follows Doctor Strange during a dark period in his life where he utilizes dark magic and wears an eye patch. His ally Topaz tries to guide him back to safety, safeguard his soul, and restore his honor. The powerful mystic Kaluu also appears in this segment.
