A pivotal, dialogue-driven issue that shifts focus from action to heavy exposition. It pulls back the curtain on how Battleworld was originally created while dealing with the immediate aftermath of Sheriff Doctor Strange’s death at the hands of God Emperor Doom.

The issue opens with the solemn funeral of Sheriff Stephen Strange. Doctor Doom maintains a front of grief and places a monument in Strange’s memory, keeping the truth of how Strange died a secret from the populace. During the procession, Franklin Richards showcases his subtle reality-warping abilities by magically altering a leaf into a wreath for the statue.
