STORYLINE – TURF

Following the timeline alterations of Crisis on Infinite Earths, the issue is divided into four main sections tracking different members of the newly formed Earth-based Green Lantern Corps:

John Stewart leads fellow Lanterns Kilowog and Salakk to an island where Guy Gardner was supposed to have left Hector Hammond. Instead of Hammond, they find Doctor Polaris, Sonar, and their group of villains, who are reinforced by a massive, robot-like new villain named Truk. A battle ensues, ending in a draw. John Stewart is knocked unconscious during the fight, forcing Kilowog to build a specialized life-support construct to sustain and transport him safely back home.
