STORYLINE – Alien Legion: One Planet at a Time #1 is a 48-page science fiction comic published in April 1993 by Epic Comics (an imprint of Marvel Comics). Written by Chuck Dixon, the issue serves as a relaunch for the series and begins a three-part limited series focusing on the elite but expendable military unit known as Force Nomad.

The story follows the “misfit” soldiers of Nomad Squadron as they navigate dangerous intergalactic conflicts.

The squadron is stranded on the planet Bakel II after their ship is destroyed by a massive super-weapon.

They must battle swarms of planetside Bakalli aliens, who are later revealed to be influenced by a sentient virus called the Vreel.

Key characters include the serpentine leader Sarigar, the humanoid Torie Montroc, and the Thraxian anti-hero Jugger Grimrod. The issue also introduces a subplot involving Commander Triptak Spal-Volman, a disgraced officer attempting to salvage his honor through a debt with the S’Thanth Brotherhood.
