Deathrage and Firekiss survive an ambush by the Kodiak Syndicate assassins—though “survive” means Deathrage brutally eliminates them.

The duo then descend into a secret facility, the same place where Deathrage’s first Spartan assignment went disastrously wrong.

Inside, their enemies plot revenge, setting the stage for escalating conflict. Deathrage is depicted as a man with uncontrollable fury, barely guided by his mask’s programming. The issue hints at deeper truths about Deathrage’s past missions and failures. Firekiss, with her fire-summoning powers and flamboyant circus-like outfit, contrasts sharply with Deathrage’s brutality, creating an uneasy alliance.
