The Wizard Ace Edition: Creed #1 (published by Lightning Comics in January 1996) is a 32-page, black-and-white compilation reprint that collects the first two issues of the original indie series Creed (1994) from publisher Hall of Heroes. Produced by creator Trent Kaniuga when he was just a teenager, this specific edition features a deluxe, interactive cover overlay.
Mark Farley is an average, everyday kid trying to navigate high school. He discovers a magical artifact known as the “Dream Stone,” which gives him the power to enter, navigate, and completely manipulate a surreal dream dimension. Within this dimension, he is guided and assisted by a mysterious, talking frog named C.J. Despite his reality-warping powers in the dreamscape, Mark’s primary motivation remains grounded—he just wants to find a way to impress Mary, his cute classmate.
