The first issue introduces a vibrant, patchwork magical world and brings the main trio together for the first time.
The Escape – The story begins with Serra, a swashbuckling pirate princess, fleeing from a group of anthropomorphic Frogsoldiers. During her escape across airships and rooftops, she attempts to protect a mysterious amulet.
The Rescue – Serra is cornered and nearly captured when Jarek, a young boy with a magical genie at his command, and his companion Koj, a massive humanoid tiger-warrior, intervene.
The Amulet – In a chaotic moment during the rescue, Jarek snatches the amulet from Serra’s hand, causing it to glow and signaling the start of their interconnected journey.
The Threat – The heroes are being pursued by “ShadowDemons” sent by Malesur, a malevolent boy-wizard who seeks to destroy Jarek and devour the denizens of Tellos.
